Spinach is a plant grown as a vegetable for its edible leaves, large dark green and bright. The leaves have a bright, fresh and flat appearance, with evident ribs. It is rich in vitamins A, E and K, iodine and several antioxidants.

The texture of the spinach is firm and crunchy, and its taste is pleasant and slightly acidic. It also has a high level of fibre.
