Little Red Gem
Characteristics
A light green to dark green lettuce with intense red or garnet outer leaves. The inner leaves are yellowish according to the variety. These lettuces have a small stem and an elongated shape. Its flavour, like Little Gem, is fresh, soft, sweet and slightly bitter. As for the texture, the heart is compact, with crunchy leaves, and free of hardness. It is a lettuce rich in vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus and potassium.
